A belt-based sorter designed for products that demand a soft touch.
The Hawit 6SXL belt color sorter takes a fundamentally different approach to optical sorting. Unlike chute-fed machines, the belt transport system carries product gently across the scanning zone, dramatically reducing impact and breakage. This makes it the preferred choice for delicate, high-value commodities — cashew nuts, peanuts, and plastic flakes are prime examples, though the machine adapts readily to a wide range of other products.

The series is available in both single-layer and double-layer configurations, with belt widths spanning from 300 mm to 1200 mm. Depending on the model, capacity ranges from 1 to 5 tons per hour (at approximately 3%–5% contamination).

Every machine is built around a Toshiba 5400-pixel full-color CCD camera, and customers can select the ejector brand — Hawit, SMC (Japan), or Matrix (Italy) — that best aligns with their maintenance preferences.

Standard features include photo capture, shape sorting, RGB spectrum technology, and multiple software profiles tailored for different products.

A humanized true-color touchscreen makes operation intuitive, while the belt design itself ensures a consistently low breakage rate across all processed materials.

A. What makes belt sorting different

A camera that sees every detail, a belt that protects every piece.
The Toshiba 5400-pixel full-color CCD scans product from above at 16,000 times per second, resolving defects as small as 0.01 mm². The RGB tri-chromatic system renders colors with exceptional fidelity. Because product lies flat and stable on the belt rather than hurtling down a chute, the camera captures a cleaner, more consistent image — and the product itself arrives at the outfeed intact.

Processing power that handles the load.
The DSP+FPGA architecture runs color and shape algorithms in parallel, delivering genuine “color selection + shape selection” in a single pass. Operators define what constitutes a reject through the one-key intelligent system, and the machine automatically deploys the optimal sorting scheme across all channels. Multiple modes can be saved and recalled as products change.

Lighting that adapts on its own.
A unique cold shadowless LED source provides even, energy-efficient illumination across the full belt width. Advanced digital stepless dimming automatically adjusts brightness in response to product characteristics and ambient conditions, ensuring the camera always receives a clean, well-lit image without manual intervention.

Built to stay clean, cool, and accurate.
Precision dust collection is integrated into the scanning chamber, actively clearing the optical path of debris. This maintains consistent identification accuracy from the first kilogram to the last. An efficient heat dissipation system keeps all internal electronics at room temperature, improving the signal-to-noise ratio and extending the machine's overall service life.

Ejectors that perform with precision.
High-frequency ejectors are rated for 5 to 10 billion cycles and operate with minimal air consumption. Their fast response and precise timing deliver an impressive 50:1 rejection ratio, ensuring that good product stays in the accept stream. The mechanical structure and tri-chromatic control system work together to achieve 99.999% accuracy at every ejection point.
