Model: HWT-SR4
For the Small Mill That Refuses to Compromise
You do not need a massive production line to demand top-tier sorting. The Hawit S4 is a compact, entry-level rice sorter that brings the same core technology found in our largest machines into a footprint that fits smaller mills and start-up operations.
Designed to handle Basmati, Parboiled, and Raw rice at around 2 tons per hour, it proves that small capacity does not have to mean basic performance.
What truly sets this model apart is its ability to tackle a problem that plagues many small mills: glass contamination.
With a specialized 350mm glass sorting distance and dedicated algorithms, it identifies and removes glass fragments that ordinary sorters miss, protecting your brand and your customers.
Add to that standard features like photo capture, shape sorting, reverse sorting, and remote operation — all managed through a crisp 15-inch display — and you have a machine that punches well above its weight.
It sees what others overlook.
A Toshiba 5400-pixel full-color CCD camera scans every grain at 16,000 times per second. Defects as small as 0.01 mm² — a barely visible black tip or a pale yellow grain — are detected and acted upon immediately. The RGB tri-chromatic system ensures that color variations are captured with lifelike precision, so good rice stays and bad rice goes.
It thinks while it sorts.
Powered by the same DSP+FPGA processing architecture that runs our high-capacity lines, the S4 handles complex color and shape algorithms simultaneously. You get genuine “color + shape” sorting in one pass. Adjustments are made through an intuitive one-key intelligent operation system: define what you want removed, and the machine figures out the rest.
It saves air, money, and maintenance.
The ejector system — whether you choose Hawit, SMC from Japan, or Matrix from Italy — is built for 5 to 10 billion cycles with minimal air consumption. A precision dust collection system keeps the optics clean, while the advanced cooling design maintains a stable operating temperature, extending the machine’s life and preserving that critical signal-to-noise ratio.
It offers support that goes the distance.
Remote operation capability means our Chinese engineers can tune your machine from across the globe. A self-checking system verifies cameras and boards on startup, so you spend time sorting, not troubleshooting. And when you need help, 24-hour online guidance is there.
